I love traveling.

The bug bit me hard five years ago and I’ve tried my best to obey it.

I bummed around the Middle East. I lived in Prague. I backpacked through the Balkans with my little sister.

However, after extensive travel and the stamps to prove it, I recently got a new, chip-embedded US passport.

It felt like the end of an era, for my previous passport was getting pretty full—my Czech visa, countless Israeli and Turkish stamps, colorful stickers from Petra, barely-legible marks from the Sinai crossing, the overnight train to Bulgaria, the flights to Barcelona and Bosnia, the re-entry permissions from US Homeland Security… While I am certainly not sad to see the picture of 16-year-old Katrinka go, my travel HISTORY was in that old passport.

So now, it’s time to make some new history.

Wheeeee!
